2017 – Together towards new horizons

Dear All,

Cap 2017We are happy to put 2016 behind us, the year in which we lost the grandson of Groupe Eyssautier’s founders in tragic and traumatic circumstances. Today, our shareholders have renewed their confidence in us to continue the development of Groupe Eyssautier.

Our management team has also evolved. I had only just been appointed Chairman when I reinforced the Management Board, which is today made up of 6 director-shareholders and 2 operational directors. I also have at my side a Supervisory Committee, made up of board members and our financial partners, which meets regularly to accompany the company’s evolution. Moreover, I asked Jacques Eyssautier and certain personalities of renown in the insurance and shipping world to join an Advisory Committee to support me on matters of strategy and general approach.

The shareholding has expanded, in order to allow new key employees to purchase shares, alongside the existing shareholders, whilst leaving open the option for the youngest generation of the Eyssautier family to join us in a few years’ time.

To succeed in an incredibly complicated “shipping” context, I am lucky to be surrounded by a team of over 50 people who are as dynamic as they are motivated and whose excellent reputation is well-known in the market. In Paris, Marseille, London and even Geneva, the team looks after our clients on a daily basis, and all together we are progressing towards Groupe Eyssautier being entirely independent, the path which Paul-Eric had chosen for us.

In parallel, we are diversifying the services we offer: audit and consulting services, delegated claims and recovery management services and facultative marine reinsurance. Finally, we create tailor-made covers and services to meet our clients’ expectations and needs.

Full speed ahead, towards new horizons in 2017! I know that I can count on the enthusiasm and competence of everyone so that the future fulfils our hopes and wishes.
